Conchata Ferrell, 77, who played the housekeeper, Berta, in comedy Two and a Half Men, has suffered a cardiac arrest while in an intensive care unit. The actress is believed to have suffered a life-threatening kidney and blood infection.
The actress was hospitalised back in December and was later moved to a long-term care facility.
Her husband Arnie Anderson told the publication: “It’s going to be a while before there’s any recovery. It’s all neurological.
“There’s nothing we can do to speed it up the process. We are hoping for the best.”
He added she is “stable and semi-conscious” but cannot speak.
Arnie added she is “semi-aware” of her surroundings.
Conchata’s spouse hasn’t been able to visit her, due to coronavirus restrictions.
The publication said the actress had been enjoying time at her vacation home in Charleston, West Virginia when she began to feel “weak and frail” last year.
Express.co.uk have contacted a representative for Conchata Ferrell for comment.
