Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to the BBC later this year, albeit with a very different show to the previous 17 series. The celebrity line-up is usually announced in August, but with the show being pushed back until later in the autumn, it seems fans will have to wait a little longer to see who will be donning sequins and fake tan on a Saturday night. There is one person whose name has been thrown into the hat; Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo.
From television presenters to actors, one occupation which usually takes part in the show every year is a radio DJ.
BBC has had several people represent them in the past; Scott Mills back in 2014 and then Dev Griffin last year.
This year it seems Clara, who hosts the mid-morning weekday show is set to take part.
According to The Mirror, she is on the producer’s radar.
With such an impressive level of fitness, Clara could be a real contender for this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.
But it depends who she is up against.
There has been a suggestion, ITV’s Martin Lewis could be putting on his dancing shoes after bookmaker Coral revealed the latest odds.
And it seems Rebecca Ferguson could be swapping the X Factor stage for its rival too.
