Hot weather has returned, with temperatures reaching the high-20C on Friday after weeks of dreary skies and wet weather. With summer heat finally here, many of us may be reaching for our barbecues and dining al-fresco this weekend.
Whether it’s burgers, sausages, kebabs or chicken wings, barbecue food perfectly signifies for many the summer season.

With hot weather on the way for this weekend, having a barbecue may be the ideal choice.

The grill will likely hold the temperature for a while, as the coals will take a long time to cool down.
You could toast some marshmallows as you wait for your barbecue to cool down for a sweet treat.
Once the coals have gone out, open the vents again and take the lid off to allow the barbecue to cool quickly.
Never place the barbecue on anything flammable as the foil base gets very hot.
Similarly with charcoal grills, you should leave the disposable barbecue to cool down before attempting to move it – this may take several hours.
To make sure the barbecue is fully extinguished, pouring plenty of water or sand onto it.
Do not place a disposable barbecue in a rubbish bin until it has cooled down completely.
