Will Skarsgård star in Vikings season 6, part B?
Skarsgård’s character Floki was last seen in Vikings season five and did not make an appearance in season six, part A.
The last viewers saw, Floki got trapped in an Icelandic cave and it was unknown if he had escaped.
Ubbe (Jordan Patrick-Smith) and his wife Torvi (Georgia Hirst) are searching for the famous wanderer and fans are hoping he will return in the final 10 episodes.
Vikings creator Michael Hirst spoke to TV Guide in 2019 about Floki’s disappearance and Ubbe’s venture to Iceland, teasing a “journey”.
He said: “So Ubbe and Torvi, Ubbe especially, wants to try and find out what happened to Floki because Floki’s death has been wrapped in mystery and confusion, and lots of contradictory accounts of the Icelandic settlement.
“And I wanted to go back to Iceland anyway and I had further plans for that.
“But it’s something Ubbe learns from someone else, from another traveller, that there’s more than meets the eye to the death of Floki and what happened Floki and what happened in the settlement and in Iceland.
“So Ubbe and Torvi go on a journey [that] takes them to Iceland and then takes them somewhere else, which I can’t tell you where that is. But it’s a journey.”
Fans will have to wait until Vikings season six, part B airs later this year to find out if Skarsgård will reprise his role as Floki.
