The band's name was inspired by the subtitles of the movie The Gods Must Be Crazy, in which the clicking sounds of the Bushmens' Khoisan language were represented as "! However, as the bandmembers themselves say,!!! Shake the Shudder are words to live by and ones that!!! There are always fears to be faced and new paths to forge, and those uncertainties never hold them back. They just propel them to jump in head first.

A woman who has become known as the Chk-Chk Boom girl after her witness account of a shooting in Sydney has inspired a dance re-mix on YouTube. Clare Werbeloff, 19, has become so popular in the wake of her politically incorrect television interview that she has reportedly hired a PR firm to deal with her publicity. Ms Werbeloff was in Kings Cross about 3am on Sunday morning when a man was shot in the leg. Chk-chk boom girl defends saying 'wog' When approached by a television crew, Ms Werbeloff recounted what she had seen.
